All your dice have been made, polished, checked for defects and sorted by type, and will be sent to Italy this week from the factories in Poland and China :)

While waiting for delivery to happen in about 10 days from today depending on the couriers, I have sourced the remaining packaging materials.

The box you see at the bottom right of the picture is the one that has arrived a few weeks ago (the empty plastic shells) while the others are empty envelopes, cardboard boxes, zip bags, bubblewrap and white labels for your addresses.

All your custom orders have been split and grouped by sets, which will have to be prepared before being able to fill your envelopes. There are about 90 set flavours, with a grand total of 2500 sets from 2 to 9 dice to be prepared, and divided between 650 backers!

This process has already started on paper / spreadsheet with great attention to avoid mistakes and speed up the packaging when the dice will finally arrive. The manual part is extimated to last about two weeks, and this means that (all going well) your envelopes are planned to leave around the third week of June, and reach most of you around the world in July!

As anticipated, the first-edition Constellation Dice have been photographed by Måns Danneman and feature in the freshly printed art photo book: "Dice – Rendezvous with Randomness", published by Åskfågeln in a run of 1000 copies, with the help of almost 200 Kickstarter backers.

 
The author is a role player, photographer and psychologist who spent hundreds of hours preparing and shooting thousands of images of dice with talent and creativity, producing the world’s first art book about dice, full of spectacular photographs such as:

 The Northern Sky dice are shown on a glowing map of the sky... and they look great!

I'm very happy that my project is a part of his beautiful collection of pictures, now available in stores in Sweden, soon to be distributed internationally. If you can't wait, the publisher has a website were the book can be purchased, that shows also some previews.

I can't wait for my copy to arrive :)

Today a huge box filled with 1000 plastic packages has arrived... they are perfect for all of the available dice sets! Next step: custom labels :)

Desired Constellation dice are now in production, and should also arrive next month.
As you can see the stars went on a diet, and are now in line with the original design!

While their color will be very similar to the dice from Q-Workshop, these will have a more glossy finish, since it wasn't possible to use the same exact material.
